Section 35
Scholarship to be provided
(1) The institution shall provide full scholarships to underprivileged students in at least fifteen percent of the total number of students enrolled in each academic semester. Explanation: For the purposes of this section, "disadvantaged" means a student who has studied in a public school and has passed the entrance exam or equivalent, and has been recommended by the concerned rural municipality or municipality as disabled.
(2) Considering the fifteen percent as per sub-section (1) as one hundred percent, the scholarship will be provided only to women, Dalits, tribals/tribes, Madhesi and backward students.
(3) The institution may provide partial scholarships to underprivileged students.
(4) According to subsections (1), (2) and (3), the basis for providing scholarships will be as prescribed.
(5) Any body or institution may provide scholarship to any student for study in the institution.
